Great news for bitcoin futures traders: BitMEX is now offering convenient trail stop orders on their interface. This is a great way to make sure that when you're in a position that goes into profit, but then whipsaws against you, that the profit is locked in when it goes in your favor. Here's how they describe it:

You set the Quantity of an already existing position in the text field there.

Then you set the Trail Value in the base currency of the contract, in this case USD, which will make sure you have an active stop set in case the market goes against you and you want to limit your losses.

BitMEX has other things in the pipeline too: including an interesting "swap" contract which is currently live on Testnet, which allows you to earn interest on bitcoin while you are holding a position.  Stay tuned to hear what these guys have next.

There was a monster selloff in bitcoin today, and the traders on OKCoin at 10x, 20x are feeling the volatility.

Today one trader in particular got margin called on a position that was 49,000 Contracts on Bitcoin Quarterly June 24 contract. Note: for OKCoin's bitcoin futures, each contract is worth $100.

The trader has to have at least 5% margin to use the maximum leverage of 20x, so it implies that the trader lost at least $245,000 worth of bitcoin in collateral backing the position. They likely lost more, at 10x it would be nearly half a million dollars of bitcoin lost.

It's worth noting that this person could be using the futures to hedge his position so it's not necessarily a loss if they were offsetting some short exposure. Here's how the market moved on OKCoin futures:

The drop was pretty steep. The market was trading at $490 on quarterlies while spot was about $468. The drop was all the way down to $455, a 7% fall and plenty to margin call traders who were anywhere from 10-20x leveraged long.

This should be a warning to all traders: Be careful using high leverage out there! 

A hacker on Bitcointalk forum is claiming to be selling the full database of Localbitcoins usernames and passwords:

The contents are not verified, but the claim is building momentum as concerned OTC traders are starting to worry and change their password.

On Satoshibox he allegedly is selling the partial list for 0.05 BTC. It's unclear if there is a bigger list being sold. The full text of the post is below, links to any potentially illegal content removed:

I've managed to get into a few accounts, but the passwords are encrypted but pretty easy to crack if you have to programs.
